HI, I'M MARCI.
I'm the person behind The Morros, and if you've been around here for a while, you probably know that this little business has grown and changed right alongside my own life. What started as photography has become something a little bigger: a way to preserve the people, seasons, and everyday moments that we know we'll miss someday. I'm a photographer, a mom, a wife, a lover of old home movies, and someone who will almost always choose the candid photo over the perfectly posed one. I love the messy hair, the belly laughs, the tiny details, the littles who can't sit still, and the moments that happen when everyone forgets the camera is there. Because those are usually the moments we remember.
Photography lets me preserve those moments as they happen. And The Morros Home Movies lets me preserve them from a completely different perspective: through the eyes of the people who were actually there. Whether I'm photographing your family or turning hours of footage from your wedding, vacation, or family adventure into a Home Movie, my goal is always the same: To preserve the season you're in exactly as it feels, so years from now you can step right back into the moment.
MY FAVORITE PEOPLE
I'm married to Zach, and together we have two very energetic littles that are our world. Being their mom has changed the way I see photography more than anything else ever could. I know how quickly the seasons disappear. I know the feeling of looking at a tiny hand in yours and wondering how it could possibly get any bigger. I know the chaos of toddlerhood, the endless snacks, the bedtime routines, the laughter, the meltdowns, and all the little things that feel so ordinary while you're living them. And I know that someday, those ordinary things will be the things I miss the most. That's a huge part of why I do what I do. I don't just want to give you pretty pictures. I want to give you something that takes you back.
THE MORROS, THESE DAYS
The business may look a little different than it did when I started, but the heart of it hasn't changed. I'm still here for the people who care more about connection than perfection. For the families who would rather play than pose. For the couples who want to remember how it actually felt to be together. For the people who want to hand a camera to their friends and let them capture the night from their perspective. For the parents who want to remember the tiny details of this season before they're gone. And for anyone who believes the best memories aren't always the prettiest ones. Sometimes they're blurry. Sometimes someone is crying. Sometimes the kids aren't looking at the camera. Sometimes the camera gets passed around and someone accidentally records the floor for 30 seconds.
Honestly?
Those are my favorite ones.

AND ZACH?
Zach will always be part of the story of The Morros. We started this together, built it together, and spent years photographing weddings side by side. These days, he's focused on his own career and life outside the business, while I continue to grow The Morros in a new direction. He's still my husband, the best dad, and one of my favorite people. He just isn't the person behind the camera here anymore. And that's okay. Businesses change. Families change. Life changes.
The Morros has grown into something that feels more like me, and I'm really excited about where it's going.
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE.
Whether you've been following along since the beginning or you just found me, I'm so glad you're here. I hope The Morros always feels a little less like a photography business and a little more like a place where you can come to remember what matters. The people you love. The season you're in. The moments you didn't know you'd miss. And all the perfectly imperfect pieces in between.
The reason I care so much about preserving the little things?
I get to live them every day 💛
